The design of the Conroy Building was the result of an invited competition to house new sleeping and training facilities for Palm Beach Surf Life Saving Club. The design draws from the anatomy of the Cabbage Palm to generate a light, naturally ventilated, sustainable form that is responsive to the traditional buildings of the peninsular.
