The architect’s own house won a commendation in the 2007 RAIA NSW Architecture Awards. The roof of a sandstone bungalow is lifted and light timber pavilions added to the rear. Composite portal frames provide a minimal structure, and large Jarrah doors slide away to open the rooms to the garden. Natural materials are expressed without any secondary level of detail: stone, steel, timber, plywood, concrete and glass are carefully joined. The house has been features in the Sydney Morning Herald, Daily Telegraph and House and Garden. The house is available for rental over the Christmas Period: Accommodation on Stayz https://www.ozstayz.com.au
